Please stop . The amount of force needed to create any change with foam rolling is in the thousands of pounds. Rolling will just change your perception on the tension of that tissue. You’re not breaking up scar tissue. Better to do something to have lasting effects on the tissue and nervous system by implementing electroacupuncture and backing it up with some specific exercise. Supinated Ring Triceps Extensions. Got strong triceps? Try this body weight exercise for size. This movement trains a functional arm to core connection by engaging an open chain triceps extension, while isometrically contracting the spinal erectors and hip extensors. Yes, this will essentially light up your whole back side, hams, glutes, lower back, upper back, posterior shoulder and triceps of course. • • To do these properly, set the rings or TRX suspension low enough so that when you take a few steps back, the arms start off straightened at the side of the body, holding with a supinated grip. Stand tall in neutral and hold your posture strong throughout the exercise, without any movement in the core or hips. Begin by bending the elbows with eccentric control, allowing the body to lean back as you pivot on the heels. Then straighten the elbows back through a concentric contraction, righting the body back up. Notice, the only real movement in the body is in the elbows bending from extension to flexion, and back. The closer forward you stand near the anchor point of the rings/TRX, the harder the exercise. The further away you stand the easier, so choose your difficulty level. Supination in the hands aim to target more of the lateral head of the triceps, but if this is too difficult, a pronated grip can be used.
